The 2023 EBRI/Greenwald Workplace Wellness Survey found that 3 in 10 U.S. workers are highly concerned about their workplace wellbeing (e.g., engagement, stress, or morale). Company culture is cited by 61% as having the greatest negative impact on overall well-being. Concerns about layoffs or reduced hours are also significant, with 2/3s at least somewhat concerned (3 in 10 said layoffs had already occurred this year at their workplace). Personal finances are also troubling, with more than 4 out of 5 American workers are at least somewhat concerned that there will be a recession in the next year or that inflation will remain high for the next 12 months. To paraphrase President Kennedy, ask what you can do for your employees to ease their concerns. #IdeaoftheDay
