According to a report by the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC), women-owned business’s proposals through the Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs (seed funds) was 14.9%, with awards at 14.1%. NWBC is dedicated to encouraging women to start and grow their businesses in Science, Technology Engineering, and Math (STEM) industries with proven high-growth potential.
