Employers are required to verify that a new worker is legally eligible to work in the U.S. The current version of the Form I-9, which is used for this purpose, bears an expiration date of 3/31/16. Employers can continue using this form until January 21, 2017, even though a revised form is coming in November; check E-Verify for updates.
