A number of locations increased their minimum wage rates, which apply beginning tomorrow. For example, the rates increase on July 1 in Alaska (to $14/hr.) and Oregon (to $15.55/hr.), as well as District of Columbia (to $18.40/hr.). The DOL has a list of all state minimum wage rates. And various cities and counties in California hiked their rates (e.g., LA county’s rate is $18.47/hr., up from $17.81/hr.). #IdeaoftheDay
