It’s estimated that compliance with federal regulations costs U.S. small businesses with fewer than 50 employees nearly $15K per employee each year, and some/much of this is needless. You can report burdensome federal regulations to the SBA’s Red Tape Hotline. Call 800-827-5722 (M-F, 9 AM-6PM ET) or email [email protected]. There’s also an online complaint form. Just provide your name, company name, email, and which federal regulation is causing an issue. If you know, include the name of the agency (e.g., OSHA; EPA).
