The National Retail Federation says about half (53%) of adults in the U.S. plan to celebrate today, with total spending expected to be $23.9 billion (up from $21.8 billion last year). According to a survey, the average person will spend $175.41, which is up from $164.76 last year. The increase is because many intend to spend more on significant others or spouses. #IdeaoftheDay
