Tracking Devices for Employees?

Starting tomorrow, with minor exceptions, an employer in New Jersey must give written notice to employees if the company has a tracking device in a car —whether company- or employee-owned. The first-time penalty for failure to do so: $1,000. California has a similar law. But some states, such as Minnesota, Tennessee, and Virginia, ban any tracking of employees as an illegal invasion of their privacy. #IdeaoftheDay
