A study last year that was reported in Inc.com found that business owners and key executives waste 21.8 hours a week at work. The culprits: 6.8 hours on low-value business activities, 3.9 hours on “mental health breaks,”3.4 hours on low-value emails, 3.2 hours on business interruptions that could have been handled by someone else, 1.8 hours on low-value requests from co-workers, and 1.8 hours on putting out preventable fires.
