Today is part of one of the busiest travel periods in the year. AAA predicts that travel will be the most since 2007. It expects 48.7 million travelers to journey 50 miles or more from home (up 1.9% increase over last year). The increase is because of improvements in the economy and in consumer confidence as well as low gas prices.
