Until now, there’s been an automatic 60-day filing extension for federal tax returns and certain other tax-related actions for residents, businesses, relief workers, and individuals injured or killing in a federally-declared disaster. The Filing Relief for National Disasters Act extends this period to 120 days. What’s more, it now applies to state-declared disasters.
