Tax Deadlines Today

Today is the filing deadline for 2024 federal income tax returns for individuals and calendar-year C corporations. There may be an extended due date for victims of certain federally-declared disasters. Individuals can obtain an automatic 6-month filing extension by filing Form 4868. Corporations can obtain a 6-month filing extension by submitting Form 7004 today. Check state laws for return deadlines and extensions. Today is also the due date for the first installment of estimated tax for 2025 for individuals and calendar-year C corporations. #IdeaoftheDay
