Tax Deadlines Today

Today is the filing deadline for 2023 federal income tax returns for individuals and calendar-year C corporations (it’s April 17 for those in Maine and Massachusetts). There may an extended due date for victims of certain federally-declared disasters. Individuals can obtain an automatic 6-month filing extension by filing Form 4868. Corporations can obtain a 6-month filing extension by submitting Form 7004 today. Check state laws for return deadlines and extensions.
