Today is the filing deadline for 2021 income tax returns for individuals and calendar year C corporations (April 19 for those in Maine and Massachusetts; longer for victims of certain disasters). Corporations can obtain a 6-month filing extension by submitting Form 7004 today. Also, the first installment of estimated tax for 2022 for individuals and C corporations is due today. Check with your state to determine whether the filing deadline for its income tax returns can be extended too. #IdeaoftheDay
