Tax Credit for Hiring Military Spouses?

That’s what’s being proposed (a tax credit for hiring military spouses) in the Jobs and Childcare for Military Families Act (H.R. 5876). The bill would make military spouses a new targeted group for purposes of the work opportunity tax credit. The new group would encompass the spouse or domestic partner (as recognized under state law or by the Armed Forces) of a member of the Armed Forces.
