According to the National Retail Federation, it’s expected that 61% of all U.S. adults will celebrate today. Spending is expected to be nearly $44 per person, for a total of $7 billion (about the same as last year). In fact, 79% will celebrate by wearing green. Parties, parades, and special dinners are other popular ways to celebrate. Where are consumers shopping? Good news: 11% will shop locally at small businesses. #IdeaoftheDay
