According to the National Retail Federation, more than half (54%) of all U.S. adults will celebrate today. Of those celebrating, 92% are making purchases. Spending is expected to be $42.33 on average, for a total of $5.87 billion (up from last year’s $40.77 on average, for a total $5.1 billion nationwide). The number of those attending parties and parades are up from 2021. It should be a good day for bars and restaurants with COVID-19-related restrictions being lifted. #IdeaoftheDay
