According to PNC’s Spring Economic Outlook Survey, nearly half (49%) of small and mid-sized businesses are hiring. But 34% say it’s harder to find qualified employees than it was 6 months ago. The main reason: inadequate skills and experience (especially in manufacturing and construction). Also 49% expect to increase employee compensation in the next 6 months.
