The numbers seem to indicate significant growth. According to the Treasury, there were 430,000 new business applications per month in 2024, which is 50% more than in 2019 (pre-COVID). Small businesses created over 70% of net new jobs since 2019 (it was 64% in the previous business cycle). And small businesses are growing more diverse; 43% of self-employed Americans are female (the highest percentage recorded). #IdeaoftheDay
