This bi-partisan measure (S. 3816) would change Coverdell education savings accounts into Coverdell lifelong learning accounts. It would remove certain age restrictions and apply not only to college and graduate school courses, but also to training services, career/technical education activities, adult education and literacy activities, and more. It would also provide a tax credit for employer contributions (25% of nonelective contributions) and a deduction for beneficiaries. This Act was proposed a few years ago and never went beyond the Ways and Means Committee. This time? #IdeaoftheDay
