Sales Tax Amnesty Program

Online sellers may not be collecting the sales taxes they should on remote sales. The Multistate Tax Commission is offering a special voluntary disclosure initiative through October 17, 2017. Usually, states can go back 4 years or more to collect unpaid sales taxes, but under the program participating states are waiving back tax liability, including interest and penalties.
