A draft version of the annual form used by plans covering only an owner (and spouse), such as a solo 401(k), shows the form has been revised for 2016 (the return is due July 31, 2017, for a calendar year plan). One important change: the new form lets you indicate if it’s being filed under the IRS Late Filer Penalty Relief Program.
