Prior to enactment of the Monday Holiday Act in 1968 creating Presidents Day (February 16th this year), February 12—the date of Lincoln’s birthday—used to be a federal holiday (it’s still a holiday or observance in about half a dozen states). For small business owners, it’s a good idea to remember Lincoln failed as an entrepreneur in 1833 but ultimately succeeded in life. He said: “By all means, don’t say ‘If I can’; say ‘I will.’” #IdeaoftheDay
