Remembering President Lincoln’s Birthday 2024

Prior to enactment of the Monday Holiday Act in 1968 creating Presidents Day (February 19 this year) February 12—the date of Lincoln’s birthday—used to be a federal holiday (it’s still a legal holiday in about half a dozen states). For small business owners, it’s a good idea to remember Lincoln failed as an entrepreneur in 1833, but ultimately succeeded in life.
