Relief for Small Businesses Claiming the Health Insurance Credit

Small employers that pay at least half the cost of employees’ health coverage purchased through a SHOP may be eligible for a federal tax credit. But SHOPs aren’t available everywhere. The IRS has provided relief for employers without access to a SHOP in certain situations.
