Register for a Sales Tax Permit where You Sell

If you sell online and don’t meet a “small seller” exemption, you’re required to collect and remit sales tax on transactions involving residents within a state even though you’re in another state. Be sure to register for a sales tax permit for every state in which you transact business (other than those with no sales tax or remote seller requirements).
