The real buying power of $100 varies from state to state. The Tax Foundation’s Map shows how much $100 will buy in each state, based on data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. As you might expect, it’s the equivalent of $84.67 in D.C. and $86.43 in New York but $115.34 in Mississippi.
