The Veteran Entrepreneurs Act (S. 2950) would allow a 25% tax credit for franchise fees paid by veterans who become business owners. The credit would be capped at $100,000. The amount the credit would be reduced if the franchise was not 100% veteran-owned. If enacted, the credit would apply after 2018.
