Proposed Changes to Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rule

The Davis-Bacon Act of 1931 requires the payment of locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for workers on federal contracts for construction, of which there are now an estimated $217 billion annually. The governing regulations were last updated 40 years ago. Now, proposed changes, including new anti-retaliation provisions for workers who raise concerns, are under review.
