Popularity of Pension Plans

It’s been generally accepted that large corporations are the only sponsors of retirement plans like defined benefit, profit sharing and 401(k) plans. However, an analysis of small pension plans in the U.S. by Pension Deductions shows that many small businesses continue to sponsor retirement plans for their employees. Doctors, dentists and lawyers were among the top sponsors of pension plans, and interestingly plumbing, heating, and AC contractors ranked among top 15 sponsors.
