The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund fee, which funds the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), is a cost imposed by the Affordable Care Act and extended through 2029 by the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020, on certain health insurance policies and plan sponsors of applicable self-insured health plans (e.g., certain health reimbursement arrangements). The fee for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, $3.22 on the average number of lives covered by the policy or plan; it’s $3.47 for FY 2025. #IdeaoftheDay
