A Pew Research Center analysis found that there’s still a pay disparity between men and women, with women earning only 82% of what men earn for comparable work. This isn’t much changed from 2002 when the pay gap was 80%. But at least for younger workers—ages 25 to 34—the pay gap now is only 92%–women in this category earning only 8 cents less than men. Of course, there’s no reason for any pay gap. Nonetheless, it has been attributed to factors such as education and work experience. #IdeaoftheDay
