The state’s reporting portal opened on February 1, 2024, for employers with 100 or more employees to report 3 things for each group of employees (groups are job category, race/ethnicity, sex, and pay band): the number of workers in the group, those who worked remotely in California, and those who worked remotely out of California. Reporting is also required for contract workers. The deadline for reporting: May 8, 2024. There are tools, such as templates, to help with this reporting. Other locations with pay data reporting (the requirements differ by location) include: Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New York (including Albany County, City of Ithaca, New York City, Westchester County), Rhode Island and Washington. #IdeaoftheDay
