That’s the finding from Pitney Bowes’ second annual Parcel Shipping Index. Total parcel shipping worldwide grew from 44 billion in 2014 to 65 billion in 2016. The U.S. shipped 13 billion parcels, a 48% increase over the past 2 years. Globally, the largest market was China, with 31 billion parcels (52% increase in one year). The U.S. remains the largest market in terms of spending ($95.8 billion). Germany was the largest in volume and spend in Europe.
