According to a Federal Reserve survey in January, the pandemic continues to be problematic for businesses, with 19% reporting a negative effect on business activity and another 62% reporting a slight negative effect. Labor shortages continue and many employees were out due to COVID, forcing 63% to add overtime; 30% reduced their business hours.
