Due to cost-of-living adjustments, OSHA penalties increased effective January 13, 2022. The maximum penalty amount for other-than-serious-posting requirements is $14,502 per violation. The same dollar amount applies for a failure to abate for each day beyond the abatement date. The maximum penalty for a willful or repeated violation is $145,027 per violation. #IdeaoftheDay
