OSHA’s final rule on electronic filing of workplace injuries and illnesses has relieved employers with 250 or more employees of having to e-file OSHA Forms 300 and 301. However, employers in a “high hazard industry” with 25 to 249 employees are still required to submit information from 300A Annual Summaries. The definition of high hazard industries was not changed by the final rule to help more small businesses avoid this filing obligation.
