As a small business you can use an OSHA program to do an assessment and recommend changes to improve safety for your workers and ultimately improve your bottom line (e.g., fewer injuries, reduced workers’ comp costs). You then have an abatement period in which to correct noted problems. The on-site consultation program is run by states with funding from OSHA. Check OSHA’s consultation directory.
