The number of nomadic workers in the U.S. rose to 10.9 million by mid-2020 (a 50% increase from the prior year. These nomadic workers are highly-skilled workers who do not have a physical office or other location or most frequently are away from their place of business. These workers include travel nurses and technicians, tradespeople (400,000 dry-wallers, carpenters, and electrician), and entertainers.
