New Year’s Day Federal Holiday

Because New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday, today is the official federal holiday, with most federal offices closed. Today is also a time to close your books for the year and look ahead. As Judy Garland said: “Well, we have a whole new year ahead of us. And wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all be a little more gentle with each other, a little more loving, and have a little more empathy, and maybe, next year at this time we’d like each other a little more.” Here’s wishing everyone a happy, healthy, prosperous, and less judgmental New Year.  #IdeaoftheDay
