This month was established to recognize the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S. According to the SBA, American Indian, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islanders own more than 154,000 businesses nationwide. The SBA offers opportunities in contracting, business development, and other programs for Native American small business owners.
