According to the National Retail Federation, 84% of consumers will celebrate Mother’s Day, and spending is expected to rise to $38 billion, up from $34.1 billion last year. The most popular gift categories remain flowers, greeting cards, special outings, and gift cards. But the most dollars go toward jewelry, special outings, and electronics. While 33% of consumers are shopping for today online, 25% are shopping at specialty stores, many of which are small businesses. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms! #IdeaoftheDay
