Minority-owned Businesses Make up 40% of all Businesses

Minority-owned businesses are those with 50% or more ownership by a Hispanic, African-American, Native-American, Asian, or any other member of a racial or ethnic minority group. According to a BizJournals report, there are 11.1 million minority-owned businesses in the U.S. They employ over 6.3 million people, and generate more than $1.7 billion in revenues annually.
