May is National Mental Health Awareness Month

Nearly 1 in 5 Americans experience some form of mental health issue each year; some may work for your business. This year’s campaign focuses on how surroundings impact mental health. Mental Health America has suggestions on what businesses can do this month to promote awareness in the workplace, including distributing wellness kits that include self-care items for employees. The DOL has some resources for employers to help build mental health-friendly workplaces. Also, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is having an in-person/virtual program from noon to 2 pm ET.
