If you have a qualified retirement plan for which you’re the plan administrator and a participant requests certain plan documents, turn them over in a timely manner. If you don’t, you can be penalized severely, as was demonstrated in Cultrona v. Nationwide Insurance Company (the participant recovered $8,910, representing a fine of $55/day).
