Two years ago, the DOJ issued a final rule under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requiring public entities (e.g., libraries, schools) to be sure web content and mobile apps are accessible to people with disabilities. The rule is effective today (small entities have until April 24, 2027, to comply). While the legal obligation is on public entities, certain private companies that contract with public entities (e.g., a private software vendor) may be contractually required to comply with this rule. #IdeaoftheDay
