Due to COVID-19, recent legislation has created a number of tax breaks for employers. For example, there is the employee retention credit which, as the name implies, rewards employers that keep employees on the payroll. But the rules are confusing. The IRS has a flowchart to help employers determine their eligibility. There are similar flowcharts for the leave credits.
