It’s estimated that 15% to 20% of the population are neurodivergent–autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. They have been called “America’s largest untapped talent pool” because they can offer different cognitive approaches to business due to their different cognitive reasoning. Employers that want to tap into this pool of talent should be prepared to make reasonable accommodations. The DOL has resources to help.
