According to the U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the health care and social assistance sector is the largest employer by far, with over 20 million employees and over $1 trillion in annual payroll. It’s projected that this sector will grow 14% from 2018 to 2028, due to an aging population with health care needs. Retail trade was next, followed by accommodation and food services. But during the course of a one-year period examined by BLS, the greatest growth in the number of establishments was in construction. #IdeaoftheDay
