The U.S. Census Bureau’s Small Business Pulse Survey comparing small business sentiment from April 26-May 2, 2020, with May 24-30, 2021 shows a solid decline in those experiencing a large negative effect from COVID-19 (51.4% versus 26.2%). But there’s still a significant number experiencing a moderate negative effect (68.9%). What can be done to improve this sentiment? The SBE Council suggests in addition to the easing of the pandemic, the government should provide “certainty regarding taxes and regulations.” Note: Big Ideas for Small Business, Inc. has been a respondent in these surveys. #IdeaoftheDay
