One recent study found that 68% of male entrepreneurs would have gotten VC capital in a pitch competition versus 32% of female entrepreneurs using the same pitch. Male pitches were rated “more persuasive, logical, and fact-based” than female pitches even though both genders gave the same pitch. Another study found that high-attractiveness males got more funding than low-attractiveness males, but there was little difference in the funding between high-attractive and low-attractive females.
